| 4 FACTORS ARE NEEDED FOR TOOTH DECAY TO DEVELOP |
| 1 ) |
A tooth |
| 2) |
Bacteria (S.Mutans / Lactobacillus) |
| 3) |
Substrate (sugar) |
| 4) |
Time |
If we can eliminate only 1 factor, the disease is cured!

A TOOTH, in the presence of TOOTH BACTERIA, with regular
SUGAR feeding sessions, given enough TIME, will end up
in TOOTH DAY |
| LET'S LOOK AT THE 4 CAUSING FACTORS INDIVIDUALLY |
| 1 |
TEETH
People with no teeth obviously cannot develop tooth decay and a very low amount of bacteria are present. (The bacteria don’t have any structure (teeth) to bond to and are eliminated through swallowing & rinsing)
|
| 2 |
BACTERIA
With low numbers (< 10 000 / ml saliva) of S.mutans and some Lactobacillus species, no cavities will develop. This is our aim.
|
| 3 |
SUBSTRATE (SUGAR)
It is not possible to cut sugar out of our diets, but by REDUCING it, we can control the multiplication of bacteria and keeping their numbers to a minimum.
|
| 4 |
TIME
The bacteria need to be longer than 24 hours on the tooth to have a dissolving effect.
|
As you can see, by brushing and flossing alone, we are only focusing on
the TIME FACTOR!
Plaque keeps accumulating and we just keep on removing it.
Does this sounds like a cure to you?
What if we can reduce the number of bacteria in the first place by KILLING the bacteria?
