My teeth are skew
Have you looked in the mirror lately and noticed that your teeth aren't as straight as they used to be? Perhaps one tooth has started to overlap another, your front teeth look a little twisted, or your smile seems narrower than you'd like. These changes often happen so gradually that we hardly notice them. Clenching, grinding and the forces created when our teeth bite together can contribute to teeth shifting out of alignment over time.
LOOK AT YOUR TEETH:
Are any overlapping, rotated, tilted or sitting out of line? Now smile as widely as you can. Do you notice dark spaces at the corners of your mouth, with your front teeth visible but your back teeth seeming to disappear inwards? These are called dark smile corridors and may be associated with a narrow dental arch.
A) Treatment:
First we will look at the 9 different treatment options we use in Cosmetic Dentistry, and decide when and what options to apply. Our main goal is to be conservative and minimally invasive. A good teeth cleaning and then possible teeth whitening session will be the start before trying to match any possible restorative work.
Treatment options for skew teeth:
The following are options from least to more invasive. Sometimes a combination approuch is necessary. See Lite Dentistry service.
- Conventional orthodontics or Clear Braces
- Composite Bonding
- Porcelain veneers /Porcelain crowns
The treatment chosen for this case was Clear Aligners.

Clear aligners are a great way to straighten and align your teeth, minimally invasive with zero preparation on healthy tooth structure. It is discreet and provides the platform on which other cosmetic dentistry, like conservative veneers or bonding, can be done. It also fits perfectly with our Lite Dentistry service.
Lower Teeth:
Our lower teeth often show more crowding as they are smaller and movement continues over time, resulting in more crowding.
